Let You Examine Yourself

Let You Examine Yourself
September 13 - 19
“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.” (Lamentations 3:40)
Devotional: I often wonder as a child why we had to have tests or exams each and every week. However, I have learned that taking your tests, whether they were “fill in the blank,” “true/false” or “multiple choice,” the bottom line was to see the progress from one period to the next period which was normally six weeks. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, it is incumbent upon each one of us to check our spiritual gauge to be prepared because testing times are always around.
Prayer: Lord, give us courage to honestly examine where we are without blame or condemnation. Show us what we need to celebrate, what we need to learn, what we need to change, and what we need to surrender to You in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen and Amen!
Reflection Question: What grade would You give me Lord at this time in my life?

I ask for prayers for myself, Majerlian, Maria Amélia, and our family members—especially for Paulo Sagan. His mother committed suicide when he was a child, and his father remarried but did not take him along, leaving him instead with his grandmother, who did not know how to raise him. He is now 26 years old and has not even completed primary education; for over a year, he has not left the house, where he spends his time drinking and smoking.
