Sustaining Grace

May 24 - 30

“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Devotional: Since the beginning of humanity, our ancestors bear witness that we are imperfect beings. Although we have been redeemed, we are never free from sin. Our mind, body and spirit are in constant conflict (good versus evil). We ask the Lord to take the thorn away (v7)… but God’s response is… “My grace is all you need.” This response can be difficult when healing is what we are seeking but the pain persists. It’s in these times we must trust that God is able to heal and His power works best in our weakness. Jesus gives us the grace we need to sustain us when we need it most!

Prayer: Gracious and loving Father, I am a sinner, saved only by your amazing grace! When I am weak, help me to trust that Your grace is sufficient in my weakness. May Your power always be at work within me.

Reflection Question: Reflect on a time when you believed God’s grace carried you through a difficult situation. Whisper a prayer thanking God for His grace!
