God Knows Your Name!

"He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name." (Psalm 147:4)
Devotional: One of the largest telescopes Astronomers use to study the vast galaxy of the Milky Way is located at Siding Spring Observatory in Australia. This telescope has a three-dimensional map that allows Astronomers to see four billion light-years deep into space where determining the number of stars defies the imagination. The Milky Way consumes only a fifth of galactic space. The psalmist says the Lord determines the number of stars and He calls each by name. If God, Creator of heaven and earth, cares about the stars and gives each one a name, surely, HE cares about your sorrows; your sickness; and your pain. God heals the brokenhearted and HE knows your name!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for caring about us so much that You call us by name!
Reflection Question: When have you felt God was the most distant from you? Pray and ask Him to help you feel His presence even when He feels so far away.
