Tears of Triumph

Tears of Triumph

July 5 - 11

“During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.” (Hebrews 5:7)

Devotional: The highs and the lows of life often has a way of bringing a wide range of mix emotions for many Christians. Oftentimes, we masked our pain, our hurts, our sorrows, because we want those around us to see our “strength” instead of our vulnerability. Jesus, however, shows us that it is truly alright to cry because healing can take place through releasing our grief to Him.  What a friend we have to Jesus!

Prayer: Father, we thank you that we can let go and let you be God all by yourself! Thank you for reminding us that You are able to hold us and to keep us from falling down the pitfalls of life. We thank you for your great love for us and we give you glory, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Reflection Question: What stress are you having a hard time letting go in order for you to experience God’s freedom in your life?
