How Soon We Forget

How Soon We Forget
July 12 - 18
“Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.’” (John 6:26)
Devotional: In the four major sports here in the United States, football, basketball, baseball, and hockey, the home teams are primarily the favorites to win the games. In fact, teams play the whole season in order the home field advantage. The opportunity to play the playoff games at home with the fan cheering. We cheer when our team does well, but we “boo” when our team is not playing so well. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to know that there will be some good days and some not so good day but let’s not be like the fans of the losing team; we cheer regardless because we know the outcome of the game; His great love for us through His Son Jesus Christ!
Prayer: Father, I stretched my hand to thee, trusting you because you have made the difference in my life! Lord, help me to trust you in the midnights of our life because you are the Sunshine which brightens us and keeps us! I love you and I praise you in the name that is above all names, Jesus my lord and all, Amen and Amen!
Reflection Question: How can we maintain a winning attitude when everything is falling apart on us?
